Lilly Scott

2009 American Idol finalist Lilly Scott has joined our team. Lilly will be providing private and group voice instruction, songwriting, audition prep, stage performance workshops, general talent development and assisting in our Backyard Theater and Glee! Calling All Gleeks! summer camps.
Lilly has been a vocalist and a professional musician for her entire life. In addition to performing, touring, recording and writing, one of her true passions is teaching.
She started her teaching career at 19 years old and became certified by Dr. Scott Martin at the Academy of the Arts in Denver. Shortly after, Lilly became a finalist on Season 9 of American Idol. She’s worked with some of the finest industry professionals and honed her craft. Her indie-folk rock band Varlet is releasing a new, full-length record this summer, with several U.S. tours to follow.
Lilly has been taking professional music lessons since she was four years old, including voice, guitar, piano, songwriting, performance art, and stage development. As a teacher, she is comfortable working with students of varied experience levels and specializes in advanced vocal and talent development. She loves working with kids! With new performers, Lilly focuses on overcoming stage fright and developing confidence. She feels that performing can be downright terrifying for anyone even in a lesson setting. She is supportive and encouraging, and loves watching her students grow into powerful artists! She will make you work hard and stay dedicated! Learning anything new takes time and effort. Lilly will help you find the drive to be successful.
She truly supports her students in finding their own unique artistry and where their natural gifts lie. Let her train you and help you become the star musician you've always dreamed you could be!
