Cole Rudy

Cole began playing guitar at age 12 and teaching at age 18. He moved to Denver in his early twenties and enrolled in the Guitar Performance Program at the University of Colorado. He was fortunate to study under some of the best jazz educators in the country and to participate in renowned jazz ensembles. He graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2007.
Over the last 10 years Cole has been a member of many notable bands from Denver and has performed at almost every large and small venue in the City and surronding areas. He has experience in punk, ska, country, dixi-jazz, big band jazz, psych rock, salsa, gypsy jazz, classical, folk, and metal bands.
Cole's current projects include a progressive technical metal band, Kitezh and a psychedelic spaghetti-western folk band, Valet, in which Cole plays mandolin and lap steel.
In 2009, Westword named Cole "Denvers' Best Guitar Hero". He later started the weekly Monday Jazz Jam at the Meadowlark Bar.
Cole continues to teach, perform, tour, and record on a daily basis.
