Sam Cole

Sam Cole: Violin / Fiddle / Mandolin

Thoroughly captivated by the mountains and sunshine, Sam has been a Colorado resident since 2001. A Boston native, he was first introduced to the violin at age thirteen while playing folk classics sung and strummed by his father. Sam is fascinated by the versatility of the violin and uses it to access a variety of music, including Classical, Bluegrass, Swing, Celtic, Folk, Cajun, and Jazz.

Sam has earned degrees in both music education and culinary arts. A member of the Stapleton community since 2003, he has played violin with several local bands as well as various orchestras and chamber ensembles, and continues to collaborate with an assortment of talented musicians throughout Boulder and Denver.

Sam teaches K-6 general music at Charles Hay World School in Englewood and is continually inspired by the creativity and excitement that readily flows from his students. He also relishes the intimacy and focus that can be achieved through private lessons. Adept at working with students of all ages and abilities, it is with both joy and enthusiasm that Sam shares his passion for music with others.
